NEWCASTLE Jets fan Fadi Hamadeh will offer free haircuts at his Hamilton barber shop on Monday if his beloved team make the A-League grand final.
Mr Hamadeh said he will offer the free cuts to anyone with a ticket to tomorrow's preliminary final against Queensland Roar at EnergyAustralia Stadium to entice Novocastrians to support their team."Actually I want to encourage people to go to the game," he said. "I want more support for the Jets."While the free haircuts will only be on offer if the Jets win, Mr Hamadeh believes a Newcastle victory tomorrow is a certainty."It's not if they will win, it's when they win," he said of his haircut offer.Mr Hamadeh, originally from Lebanon, moved to Australia from Dubai 18 months ago and has lived in Newcastle since then."I'm here for good now," he said. "Newcastle is now my home and the Jets are my team."He has not missed a single Jets game this season, at home or away, and counts many of the Newcastle Jets team as his clients."Eighty per cent of the team come to my shop," he said.
